Position Summary

Upriver Ecommerce is looking for aa Account Manager to be a part of its Marketplace account management practice. In this role, the candidate would be required to handle client’s e-commerce marketplaces accounts including Amazon, Flipkart, Ajio, Nykaa etc. and drive growth and profitability through a range of solutions. In short, the candidate would be responsible for achieving the desired revenue targets and will have the end-to-end ownership of client’s P&L on marketplaces.
No prior experience in ecommerce is required for this role. Upriver would provide in-house training to the candidate for him to get equipped with the various facets of marketplace account management including but not limited to pricing strategy, listing & cataloging, advertising, account management, marketplace operations, reporting etc.
This will be a 2 step-program where the candidate would join as a trainee for the first 2 months, understanding the work dynamics and going through a training program comprising of various facets of managing e-commerce marketplaces. After the successful training program, the candidate would graduate to become a full-time employee and an associate account manager, handling a team of 2-3 people under him/her and managing clients, under the supervision of a Team Leader.

Responsibilities:

  • Understanding the client and their business from a holistic perspective.
  • Take complete ownership for a portfolio of client accounts. Manage clients’ account end to end, including developing channel strategy, defining targeting, listing, cataloguing, setting up campaigns, measuring performance, reviews, account health and day- to-day operations and deriving insights, working with team of 2-3 e-commerce executives.
  • Tracking and driving the progress of various activities to ensure timely delivery.
  • Be responsible for all regular (and ad hoc) reporting and analysis.
  • Onboard clients on multiple marketplaces by liaising with category managers at respective marketplaces.
  • Co-ordination with various Marketplaces for solving queries and issues regarding the accounts
  • Reviewing every account in the portfolio in complete detail to understand the current level of performance and remove any bottlenecks.
  • Be accountable for hitting goals and driving sustainable growth.

What you’ll Need:

  • Strong analytical skills including Microsoft Excel
  • Proactive, Team Player, requires good co-ordination and networking capabilities
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and typing speed in English
  • Self-motivated with passion for e-commerce
  • Aggressive and action-oriented approach. Hunger for learning and growth.

CTC – 2.5 – 3 Lacs p.a. + Incentives (as per company policy, post training)
